Kazineza is the daughter of Martin Nsengumuremyi, a long time friend from the town of Gisakura in Rwanda. Martin and his wife Odette work very hard to improve the quality of life for their family, both their own children and neices and nephews orphaned during the genocide.
Kazineza started high school in September 2008 with a cost that can be difficult for a rural family to meet. As such 10% of the profits from the sale of my photographs will go directly to Kazineza's school expenses.
Rwanda is a leader not only in Africa but worldwide for trying to improve gender equality, ensuring young girls like Kazineza can continue their education is crucial to these policies succeeding.
